Did they get into any wars while in power?

Austria and its neighboring civilizations got into many wars during her reign, but most times, Theresa remained victorious. Upon her accession, the War of the Austrian Succession started, challenging her inheritance of the Habsburg lands. This contest with Prussia was followed by more. The Seven Years' War came next, and then the War of the Bavarian Succession, which lessened Austrian power.

 

 

 

 

 

​Were there any issues with religion happening in their country?

Prior to Maria Theresa, there were only minor problems that Austria faced with religion. But during the protestant era many began to revolt against the Habsburg catholic church. Due to this, Maria Theresa began to order her guards and law enforcement to capture protestants and imprison them for spreading “hate” towards the catholic church

 

 

 

 

 

​How were they an absolute ruler?

Maria Theresa was an absolute ruler during her reign in Austria, as she believed that she was the only one who was capable of making advantageous decisions for the nation. Maria Theresa had a conservative understanding of monarchical rule, seeing herself as having been entrusted with her office as ruler by divine right. So it was to God and not her people that she had to justify her actions.
